Foundry Resins

Bakelite Synthetics manufactures an extensive line of PHENOLIC RESINS for foundry applications.

Our solid RESI-FLAKE® resins were developed for use in foundry shell and core molds applications. Liquid RESI-SHELL® resins are used in the production of foundry shell molds and cores by the warm air sand process, and can be used in combination with RESI-FLAKE resins as a properties modifier. RESI-SET® liquid resins are specifically designed for foundry no-bake applications.

These products feature varying degrees of melt points, tensile strength, peel-back resistance or other properties. There is also a line of phenolic powders for use in shell glue binders. Examples of the products are below:
