BAKELITE SYNTHETICS has provided the glass mat industry with quality products for years.

We continue to develop new products that address the needs of our customers. All our water-soluble thermosetting resins were specifically designed to address individual customer requirements by providing good tensile and tear strength, and low emissions.

Our urea-formaldehyde (UF) product lines are formulated for glass mat applications such as residential roofing shingles, built up roofing (BUR), wall board, and other specialty applications.

Currently we offer two binder platforms:
  • Patented, single package UF resins that do not require post modification
  • UF resin that requires latex modification

These products can be tailored to your particular performance requirements and equipment needs.
