Bakelite Partners With Women In Chemicals To Further Empowerment In The Industry

Laura Boninsegni Appointed to Organization’s Ally Advisory Board 

ATLANTA, GA – January 25, 2024 – Bakelite is proud to announce its partnership with Women in Chemicals, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women in the chemical industry. 

Founded in 2021, Women in Chemicals boasts more than 1,900 members from 500 companies and offers a diverse range of growth opportunities for women at all stages of their careers. This vibrant community provides members with valuable resources, including: 

  • Monthly virtual networking events: Connecting with peers for collaboration, support, and knowledge sharing. 

  • Online forum: A dedicated platform for members to seek advice, share experiences, and build professional relationships. 

  • Book club: Fostering personal and professional development through discussions on relevant personal and professional topics. 

Bakelite's commitment to this partnership includes being an annual corporate sponsor plus being a sponsor of their inaugural conference taking place in Houston this September.

Additionally, Boninsegni has been selected as a Women in Chemicals Ally Advisory Board member. In her three-year term, she aims to help to create personal, professional and networking opportunities for other women in the chemical industry.
