Our Customer Inventory Tracking and Prediction (CIT) Service is capable of doing just that. Predicting resin usage in a specific plant can be time consuming, difficult and inaccurate. The CIT system tracks resin inventory and displays it via a web-based dashboard accessible on desktop or mobile devices. Bakelite and the plant collaboratively use this data to optimize your order profile, placing, moving or canceling orders as needed for optimal efficiency. Or you can have Bakelite entirely handle the process so you can concentrate on making product and growing your business.
CIT can lead to reduced working capital, less downtime, fewer quality issues related to tank rotation, reduced costs for rushed and/or canceled orders, and ultimately, smoother operations.
The CIT system works by utilizing the plant’s current level monitoring of its resin tanks. Data from the system is sent to Bakelite where it is converted, based on that plant’s unique operations, to display usage and predict inventory levels based on anticipated need on a web-based dashboard that can only be seen by that plant’s personnel. The system even allows scheduling upcoming downtime so orders can be adjusted accordingly far in advance of the downtime. CIT can display predictions up to 14 days in advance and it updates those predictions hourly.
