Crossett Site Participates in Recent Community Events
Bakelite’s Crossett site recently participated in several events within their local surrounding communities.
Bakelite had a booth at UAM College of Technology-Crossett’s (UAM-CTC) annual Job Fair, which took place on April 25. The event invites local and regional employers to share information about their companies and job openings. Attendees included graduates and upcoming graduates from UAM-CTC’s programs in electromechanical technology, HVAC, industrial technology, welding technology and business technology.
On April 26, Bakelite participated in Hope Fest – an annual fundraiser held by Hope at Home, a nonprofit organization based in Ashley County, Arkansas, that raises funds for local cancer patients and caregivers. All proceeds from the event stay in Ashley County to help local individuals affected by cancer. Since the organization’s founding in 2019, the event has raised more than $125,000.
Bakelite also was a sponsor of the “World Famous Armadillo Festival” in Hamburg, Arkansas, on May 4. The event features local vendors, food, music and rides and draws more than 20,000 people from surrounding communities each year.
Thanks to the associates who participated in these events supporting the communities in which we live and work!
