Bakelite’s Lantarón site recently helped to support recovery efforts following devastating flash flooding in Valencia, Spain.
On October 30, a series of torrential rains led to extensive flooding in the area, as rivers overflowed and left thousands trapped without power or running water. The death toll is estimated at more than 200 people.
Bakelite associates joined millions of people who have since mobilized to donate needed materials to those affected by the flooding. The site’s HR and EHS teams collected various PPE, including gloves, masks, hydroalcoholic gel and safety glasses, to send to affected areas.
A very special thank you goes to Operator Jorge García Martin, who personally transported the Bakelite donations to Valencia and assisted with clean-up efforts in the affected areas.
