Bakelite is pleased to announce the promotion of Ronald Bazinet to Senior Director of Engineering.
In this strategic leadership role, Ronald will guide engineering operations across 11 chemical manufacturing sites in North America, driving excellence in capital project execution, process optimization, reliability programs, and technical innovation. His leadership will play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations while strengthening a culture of collaboration and technical expertise across the region.
Ronald brings more than 20 years of experience in the chemical industry, with a distinguished career spanning engineering, safety, and organizational transformation. He began his career in roles such as process and project engineer before progressing into site leadership positions at Laval, Quebec and Moreau, NY.
In 2022, Ronald was named Regional Director for the East region, where he successfully oversaw key operational initiatives. Most recently, he led the seamless integration of the Longueil site following the LRBG acquisition in 2023.
Throughout his tenure, Ronald has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, a commitment to safety, and an ability to deliver complex transitions across diverse operational environments. His vision and experience will be pivotal as Bakelite continues to enhance its engineering capabilities and advance its sustainability and innovation agenda.
