While his primary role is Fleet Mechanic at Bakelite’s Lufkin facility, Richard consistently goes above and beyond to support transportation operations. During driver shortages and periods of increased demand, he willingly steps behind the wheel to help ensure customers receive the exceptional service they expect.
His impact extends far beyond any single role. Richard regularly:
- Steps in to drive when needed to help meet customer commitments
- Helps maintain fleet reliability by ensuring tractors and trailers operate safely and efficiently
- Reviews dispatch schedules and identifies potential concerns before they become issues
- Promotes best practices across transportation operations
- Collaborates closely with teams across the business to support exceptional customer service
Known for his attention to detail, positive attitude, and true “get-it-done” mentality, he is an invaluable member of the Bakelite team. Dependable and humble, Richard can always be counted on when challenges arise, and his commitment to supporting others has earned the respect of colleagues throughout the organization.
Outside of work, family remains his greatest passion. He dedicates his time and energy to supporting and mentoring the next generation, instilling the values of hard work, self-sufficiency, and commitment to family. Those same qualities shine through both on the job and at home.
