Botlek Site Celebrates 10 Years Without Recordable Incident
BOTLEK, Netherlands – At Bakelite, safety is a core value we take very seriously.
Our Botlek team lives out this core value and just recently achieved an important safety milestone, celebrating 10 years without a recordable incident.
On September 5, the Botlek team, led by Site Leader Ed Hertogh, came together to celebrate this achievement, as well as review past safety performance and look ahead to continued safety at the site. The team discussed how to further improve safety using the recently introduced Life Saving Rules and other local safety initiatives.
The safety milestone was achieved while the Botlek team managed three large, multiyear projects, including most recently the installation of a steam turbine recovering energy from the formaldehyde plant.
