Taylorsville, MS – A team of Bakelite associates from the Taylorsville site recently played in a local charity golf tournament that raised funds to fight childhood food insecurity and hunger within the community.
The event took place at the Laurel Country Club and was organized by the Junior Auxiliary of Laurel, the Junior Auxiliary of Wayne County, and The Glory House, which operates a local food pantry. The Junior Auxiliaries provides “secret meals” by working with local educators to help children in need. These meals provide non-perishable food to children on the weekend. Currently, the program serves 370 children in the area.
At Bakelite, community means coming together to support and uplift one another. We believe in making a positive impact through active participation in local events and initiatives. Our associates’ involvement highlighted Bakelite’s commitment local communities.
Thank you to our Taylorsville associates for representing Bakelite and making a difference in the fight against childhood food insecurity and hunger!
