Bakelite associates in Italy recently took part in the annual Confindustria Talent Day
Luca Abbatangelo, Production Process Engineer, and Roberto Malcotti, Europe Process Safety Engineer, spent the day engaging with local students interested in exploring future careers in manufacturing.
Talent Day—organized as part of Confindustria’s Generazione d’Industria program—brings together students from technical high schools across the region for a full day of learning and discovery. This year, 350 students participated in job‑interview simulations with HR managers and entrepreneurs from 25 companies, and Bakelite Italia was proud to be among them. The event gave students a hands‑on way to build confidence and gain a clearer understanding of what entering the workforce might look like.
This marks the third year in a row that the Solbiate site has joined Talent Day. Throughout the event, Luca and Roberto talked with students about modern manufacturing, the technologies that support our work, and the wide range of career paths available in our industry. Their conversations helped bring the world of manufacturing to life and offered students a practical look at opportunities they may not have considered before.
Bakelite Italia values staying connected to local schools and supporting students as they begin shaping their future careers. Talent Day is one of the meaningful ways we help bridge the gap between education and industry—creating space for honest questions, real insight, and the spark of new possibilities.
A special thank‑you to Luca Abbatangelo and Roberto Malcotti for representing Bakelite Italia with enthusiasm and professionalism at this year’s event.
